Amrita University Admission 2018 will be done by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. It offers various Graduate and Postgraduate and Doctoral Programmes for the candidates. Amrita University Admission 2018
There will be two techniques for the admission to Amrita University. First is by entrance exam and the other one is by merit list. If the candidate will get the admission by entrance exam then he/she will have to appear for the counseling process or GD/PI according to the course. For the candidates who will get the admission on the basis of the merit list, the marks in the qualifying exam will be considered.
Course Wise Admission & Entrance Exams
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts Engineering Entrance Examination every year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 years B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of 4 year B.Tech. programmes through counselling, based on their ranks in the Entrance Examination.

Amrita Admission Application Form
The candidates who wish to get admission in Amrita University for various courses will have to first fill the application form. The application form will be available online. For some courses, it will be available offline also. The candidates can check the details regarding the online form and offline form from the official website. For the offline forms, the candidates will be informed on the website regarding the Designation Centre to apply. Step-1 Registration:First, the candidate will have to register him/herself on the website by filling the details like Personal Details, Address Details, Educational Qualification.

After the registration, the candidates will be provided the application number. So they will also be able to login to the website by filling the Application Number / Email id / DOB.
Step-2 Upload Images: After filling up the details, the candidates will have to upload the images like photograph and signature in the specified format.
Step-3 Make Payment: Then the candidate will have to pay the application fee as specified. After this process click on the “Submit” button. The candidates will be able to make the payment online as well offline as directed for the specific course. For the online payment, the candidates will be able to pay by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking. For the offline payment, the candidates will be able to pay by the Demand Draft.
After the payment, the application process will be completed. The candidates are advised to take the print out of the confirmation page for the future reference.
Amrita University Admission 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for any course at the Amrita University. The candidates who will not fulfill the eligibility criteria will not be able to get admission at Amrita University. The candidates can check their eligibility criteria according to their course from below.
B.Tech: For the B.Tech. course, the age of the candidate will be considered after July 01, 1997. The candidate must pass the 12th or equivalent exam and score 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In each subject, the marks must not be less than 55%.
B.A. Mass Comm: The candidates must possess 60% marks in 12the exam or any equivalent qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The candidates from the Foreign Universities should obtain an equivalent certificate recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
M.A. in Mass Comm and PGDJ: The candidate must possess the Bachelor Degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks. The candidates from the Foreign Universities should obtain an equivalent certificate recognized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
MD/MS/Diploma: The candidates who have scored minimum qualifying percentile in NEET PG 2018 are eligible to take admission in this course conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE).
MDS: The candidates who have scored minimum qualifying percentile in NEET MDS 2018 are eligible to take admission in this course conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE).
Amrita University Exam Pattern
The candidates can check the exam pattern of the different courses from the points given below.
B.Tech: For B.Tech., the candidates have two options to give the exam. The first option is Computer Based Test and the second is Pen & Paper Test. Ther exam pattern for both the exams are given below.
- There will be questions related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- The total number of questions will be 100.
- For the 100 questions, the total marks will be 300.
- The time duration of the questions will be 150 minutes.
BA / MA (Mass Comm) / PGDJ: There will be the Communication Aptitude Test (CAP) for the candidates who are willing to get admission in BA (Mass Comm) / MA (Mass Comm) / PGDJ. The exam will be in both the modes, Computer Based Test as well as Pen and Paper Test. The candidates can choose the mode to give the exam. The details about CAP is given below.
- The exam will be a multiple choice exam.
- The exam will be divided into six sections, English, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, General Awareness, News and Media & Advertising.
MD / MS / Diploma / MDS: The candidates who wish to take admission in MD/MS/Diploma/MDS courses will have to give the NEET Exam. The shortlisted candidates from NEET will be able to get admission. The exam Pattern of NEET exam is given below.
- There will be the questions of Multiple Choice Questions in NEET.
- The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
- The mode of the exam will be Computer Based Test.
- There will be 25% negative marking of the incorrect answers.
- No marks will be deducted for the unattempted questions.
Amrita University Admission 2018 Admit Card
The Admit Card for various courses will be released by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The admit card will not be sent to the candidate’s postal address. The candidates will have to download the admit card from the official website. The candidates will have to enter the application number, email id, dob to download the admit card. The admit card will contain the following details:

Amrita University releases results for the various courses. Every course will have its own result. So the result for the various courses can be checked from the information below.
B.Tech: The candidates who will give the AEEE exam will get the result on the official website.The result for AEEE will be released on May 05, 2018. The candidates who will be shortlisted from AEEE will be able to appear in the counseling process. In the counseling process, the candidates will get the chance to choose their desired subject and college to get admission. For the AEEE exam, the rank list will also be released. The candidates will be able to check their rank list on the official website.
BA / MA (Mass Comm) / PGDJ: The candidates who will give the CAP exam will be able to check their result on the official website. In the result, the candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview and Group Discussion process. After the GD/PI process, the candidates will be shortlisted for the admission in the desired course and Institute.
MD/MS/Diploma/MDS: The candidates who will give the NEET PG / NEET MDS exam, will be able to get the chance for the admission process. After the NEET exam, the candidates will have to go through the counseling process. The candidates will choose the desired college in the counseling process.
