The Banaras Hindu University will hold, All India Written competitive entrance exam for admission to the course of B.Sc Nursing in College of Nursing Institute of Medical Sciences and B.Pharma (Ay) at RGSC Campus, BHU, Varanasi for session commencing from July / August 2018. This exam is conducted by the university to grant admission to candidates in the first year of the B.Sc. Nursing and B.Pharma (Ay) courses offered by the university. Candidates who wish to get admission in the B.Sc Nursing and B.Pharma courses, you will have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by it. BHU B.Sc Nursing / B.Pharm (Ay) Entrance Exam 2018

Candidates will be admitted in the desire course on the basis of merit list. Candidate will have to fill the application form and must appear in the entrance exam to get admission. Eligibility Criteria

Please go through the information brochure and ensure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria laid down by the university before you register yourself for the exam. We have listed a few criteria for your reference below.

  • You should be an Indian national.
  • You should have completed 17 years and not exceed 25 years of age as on 31st December 2018.
  • For B.Sc. Nursing/B.Pharma (Ayurveda) courses: Candidates, who are Indian Citizens and medically fit in all respects i.e. physically and mentally fit, are eligible to apply for admission to B. Sc. Nursing Course. Physically Challenged Candidates are not eligible for B.Sc. Nursing Course

Qualifications: Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry. Biology) and English from a recognized Board / University with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE) for the General Category, and 40% for OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST. Those who are appearing for the Intermediate or equivalent examination but the results are not declared shall be permitted to appear in the Entrance Test. However, they will be required to submit original mark sheet of the Intermediate or equivalent examination at the time of counseling to the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi–221005, without which their candidature for admission shall not be considered.

Application Form

The application form is available on the official website. The university will not accept the application form in any offline mode. Applicants have to register to this site in order to access the Application Form. To register at this site candidate must have a valid email id. The duly completed filled up application form should be accompanied with entrance examination fee which is Rs.1000.00 for General / OBC category and Rs. 600.00 for SC/ST category. Online payment of entrance examination fee can be through, Debit card, Credit card, Internet banking or through Challan.

Admit Card

The admit card for the BHU BSc Nursing entrance exam 2018 will be generated once you have successfully registered yourself for the exam. The admit card will be generated a few days after the completion of the registration process. It will be sent to you on your registered email id and it is compulsory that you carry your admit card on the day of your entrance exam as you will not be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid admit card. The admit card will serve as a unique identification proof throughout your admission process hence, it is necessary that you preserve your admit card till the completion of your admission process.

Exam Scheme

The entrance exam will be an objective type exam. It will have a total number of 100 multiple choice questions. Each question will be 4 marks each. Hence, the maximum marks that can be scored by the candidate are 400. The questions will be in both Hindi and English language. There will be 25 questions in each of the section. There will be no negative marking for incorrect responses. The minimum percentage of marks required to qualify in the written examination shall be will be 50% for General category and 40% for OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST. The duration of test is 2 hours.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the Written Entrance Test conducted for the purpose. In case of candidates obtaining equal marks in the Written Entrance Test, their inter se merit shall be decided in the following order:

  • Candidates securing higher marks obtained in zoology section of entrance test- 2018.
  • Candidates securing higher marks obtained in Botany section of entrance test- 2018.
  • Candidates securing higher marks obtained in Chemistry section of entrance test- 2018.
  • Candidates securing higher marks obtained in Physics section of entrance test- 2018.
  • If all above happen to be same, the candidate senior age would rank higher.

Result

Banaras Hindu University will release the result of All India Written competitive entrance exam for admission to the course of B.Sc Nursing in College of Nursing Institute of Medical Sciences and B.Pharma (Ay) online. The result will be released after the successfully completion of the entrance exam. Candidates who will going to appear in the test will only be able to check their result. The result will be released in the PDF format. Candidates have to find their names in the result list.
