Offline Application Form: To apply offline candidates have to download the application form from the website or can be obtained from any of the designated Admissions Offices of NU. Pay application fee offline or online and submit the application form. Submit the duly completed Offline Application via. Courier the printed copy of the form by post to the NU Central Admissions Office at NIIT House, 85, Sector 32, Institutional Area, Gurugram, Haryana – 122001 and also to be separately mailed to [email protected] and mentioning applicant name and application number in the subject line.
Eligibility Criteria For NIIT University B.Tech Admission 2020
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria required by NIIT University in order to seek admission. Following are the eligibility per the university.
- Must have passed class 10th with a minimum of 60% with English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies as compulsory subjects, the fifth can be candidates choice. The board can be CBSE/ICSE/any other board in India or an equivalent board if from a country outside India.
- Must have passed or is appearing in class 12th March/April 2020.
- Passed class 12th with a minimum of 60% with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB) & English. If the candidate is opting for CSE or ECE streams and in PCB, PCM or PCMB if you are choosing BT stream.
- Candidate must have appeared for either JEE Main/BITSAT/SAT/NEET/Any other State Engineering Entrance Examination.
Modes of admission at NIIT University
Early admission mode (EAD)
NU offers Early Admissions to students appearing for their Class XII Board Examinations in March-April 2020 as also to those who have taken their Class XII Board examination not earlier than March 2018. The EAD process is particularly suitable for those who are clear about pursuing engineering or management studies or/and multidisciplinary curriculum leading to post-graduate career or those willing to set up their own start-up ventures after graduation. This is also beneficial to NU to spread out its admission process since it gives more time for in-depth interaction with the applicants which is a vital part of the NU selection process.
There are limited seats for which B.Tech admission is being granted under the Early Admission Mode. The admission will be granted on a first come first served basis to only those applicants who meet all the admission criteria as defined for B Tech admission.
Regular admission mode (RAD)
NU offers admission into its prestigious Bachelor’s and Integrated Master Programmes under Regular Admission Mode (RAD) for eligible applicants who have appeared in Class XII Board Examinations in March/April 2020 or have successfully completed Class XII in March 2018 or 2019.
There are limited seats for which admission is being granted under the Regular Admission Mode. The admission is granted on a first come first served basis to only those applicants who meet the admission criteria.
What is Admission Interaction Process (AIP)?
Candidates are to go through a unique admission interaction Process (AIP) to get admission in NIIT University. Candidates can schedule the Admission Interaction Process (AIP) online by selecting the closest AIP location or from your home. The AIP consists of three parts:
- Fill in a questionnaire (Duration: 50 Minutes)
- The applicant will appear in NIIT University Engineering Test (NUET) for Technology Programmes (B TECH in CSE, ECE & BT/Integrated Dual Degree B TECH-M TECH /Integrated MSc CS).
- The applicants undergo the Personal Counselling Interaction (PCI) either face-to-face or through video conferencing.
NIIT University 2020 Admissions
Now, after the application and AIP process is over the parents or guardians of the eligible candidates are called for an interaction (either face-to-face or through video conferencing) with the NU team on the day of AIP. Only after which the selected candidates have to submit an Acceptance letter signed by them and their parent/guardian within five working days with an admission processing fee:
- INR 15,000 under EAD
- INR 25,000 under RAD
NIIT University B.Tech Fee Structure
At the time of enrollment, candidates will have to pay the fee amount for the year. the university offers two payment plans for candidates:
- Annual Payment Plan (APP): Under this plan, candidates will have to pay a university tuition fee of Rs. 1,65,900/-
- Semester Payment Plan (SPP): The per semester fee to be paid by a candidate under the semester payment plan is Rs. 88,000/-
NIIT University Scloarsearch Programme
NIIT University also offers scholarships to meritorious candidates who will score well in class 10th and class 12th or in the admission interaction Process (AIP). Candidates can apply for this scholarship programme named ‘NU Scholar Search Programme’ to avail up to 100% scholarship. It must be noted that the programme is a first come first serve basis and depends on availability. The scholarship will be applied further in as per the CGPA maintained by the candidates.
