National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has released notification from the eligible candidates for admission into Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling (2018). The course of one-year duration with a unique blend of distance and face-to-face modes is open to candidates from India. Candidates from different regions of India will be admitted at DEPFE, NCERT, New Delhi and Regional Institutes of Education at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong.

NCERT Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling 2018 – Complete Details
The course is open to teachers, teacher educators, school administrators and untrained guidance personnel from India. The course will be transacted in three phases, i.e. distance (six months; January – June, 2018), face-to-face contact programme at respective study centres (three months; July – September, 2018), and internship in home town (three months; October – December, 2018).

Candidates desirous of seeking admission into the course are required to fill in the prescribed application form which can be downloaded from NCERT website (www.ncert.nic.in) or can be obtained in person from any of the six centers. Candidates can also download the application form from this page by the link given above.
- In-service teachers – Graduates with a teaching degree.
- Presently not working – Graduates with a teaching degree and at least two years of teaching or related experience.
- Postgraduates in psychology/education/social work/child development/special education. Preference will be given to those with at least one year of teaching or related experience.
Minimum % of marks for all target groups is 50% (5% relaxation for SC/ST)
Admit Card 2018
Admit card is an essential document which contains Candidates Name, Roll number, Exam venue etc. and that is why candidates must carry their admit card to the examination center to appear for the examination. Admission to eligible candidates will be offered at DEPFE, NCERT, New Delhi and Regional Institutes of Education at Ajmer, Bhopal , Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong. Maximum no. of seats at each center will be 50. Government deputed candidates will be preferred. The advance copy will be considered for screening of applications. NCERT’s decision will be final in matters of admission. Shortlisted candidates based on the eligibility and other criteria will be called at the study center in their regions for selection test which includes essay writing and interview.
