IIFT Exam Analysis 2018-19

The analysis of the exam held today, is as follows:

  • The difficulty level of the exam was moderate.
  • There were 114 questions in the exam and the pattern was same as before.
  • Quantitative and LR were difficult.
  • The questions in Quantitative section were lengthily.
  • Data Interpretation section was not too tough but the questions needed lots of calculation.
  • In Logical Reasoning, there were 4 questions on puzzle.
  • There were 5 sets in English and of these 3 were lengthy but the question were not too tough.
  • the questions in GK section were not too tough.

IIFT Expected Cut Off 2019

The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which one need to obtain in order to be declared as “Qualified” in the test. The Institute has clarified that IIFT 2019 will have Sectional Cut Off. Now, only those candidates can qualify for the next level only if they secure marks above the sectional cut off.

On the basis of the exam analysis, it is expected that the overall cut off for IIFT 2019 shall go down by 5-6 marks. The expected cut off for IIFT 2019 shall be as follows:

IIFT Exam Analysis 2019 by Carrer Launcher

The Career Launcher has published the exam analysis for IIFT 2019 at its website. As per the analysis, LR was the toughest section from all. Furthermore, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude were slightly difficult in comparison to the last year. General Awareness was of Moderate difficulty level. IIFT Exam Pattern and Analysis of 2016-2017

Exam date: 27 Nov 2016

Maximum marks that can be scored in the MBA entrance exam is 100 marks. The marking scheme was different for each section, however a uniform 1/3 negative marking was applicable for entire paper.

Difficulty level of exam – It will be expected that IIFT would throw in some surprises like every year. Logical Reasoning section was said to be the toughest and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation were easier. IIFT 27 Nov 2016 exam was a little tougher compared to last year.

Exam Pattern – The first point of importance is the exam pattern. Every year the pattern changes slightly. Questions are asked on various topics. IIFT 2017 exam pattern highlights the sections of question paper, number of questions in each, marks per question.

Time spent – To complete the paper and do so accurately, the ideal time that could have been spent on GA, RC-VA, QA, LR-DI would be 8-10 minutes, 25-30 minutes, 30-35 minutes, 40-45 minutes.

Expected cut off – Each candidate has a more or less good idea of how many questions they have marked correctly. With the further knowledge of expected cut offs, it becomes simpler to take decision on what to do next. Cut offs are projected based on factors such as

  • Past year cut offs
  • Difficulty level of exam
  • Number of test taker
  • Minimum expectations of the organizing body

According to coaching centers and individual education experts the expected IIFT cut off is between 42-46. However the final data on cut off is as per decision of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
