The list of shortlisted candidates for Next stage has been published by the officials. The shortlist is on the basis of composite score which is a sum of the weightages of written test score + past academic performance + work experience as per details provided by you.
Candidates are now able to fill their online application form the official website. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria at least once before applying. How to Apply
- Log on to www.welingkar.org
- Click on the section showing Online Application for PGDM Admissions 2017-2019 (PGDM / PGDM E-Biz / PGDM Business Design/PGDM-Retail Management/ PGDM – Healthcare Management / PGDM Rural Management)
- Enter the Form Number and Password provided in your Application kit / email.
- After authentication, you will be allowed to start filling the Online Form. Your Form Number will appear automatically on the form.
- Using the guidelines for filling the Online Form provided in the pages ahead, fill in your details correctly. The online form captures information in 4 sections.
- You will need to fill in all 4 sections to go to the next step of downloading the “PDF” Form.
- Complete filling the form by answering the essay questions. The Essay questions need to be handwritten.
4 Simple Steps to Complete the Application Process
Step 1: Log on to the Online Application Process on the Welingkar website- www.welingkar.org, using the Form Number and Password.
Step 2: On completing the online form, download the PDF form to fill out the essay questions.
Step 3: Insert the form duly filled, with your recent passport size colour photograph affixed, attested photocopy of graduation marksheet and certificate if you have completed your graduation, documents pertaining to your work experience in case you have work experience, photocopies of your written test registration number and scores & send it to the Mumbai campus in the envelope provided by the Institute.
Step 4: Once the CAT / ATMA / XAT / CMAT / MHCET / GMAT (2014 onwards) results are declared, log on to www.welingkar.org and submit your score and percentile. The responsibility of submitting the score online is that of the student. If the Institute does not receive the CAT and / or ATMA and / or XAT and / or CMAT and / or MHCET / or GMAT (2014 onwards) scores or percentile on or before the specified dates from the student, the student’s candidature will not be considered for the short listing process. The list of short listed candidates will be communicated only through the website – www.welingkar.org, it is the student’s responsibility to look up the same and respond appropriately.
The Institute is not responsible to process your Application if you do not complete any of the above steps in time.
- Providing or uploading false information shall be treated as fraudulent activity and the candidature/admission shall be cancelled. The candidate shall be liable for criminal prosecution.
- Even if, at a later stage it is found that, the candidate has furnished wrong information and/or submitted false and/or forged documents then the candidate shall lose claim on the admission. He/she shall forfeit the entire fees of the course and also be liable for legal/penal action.
Should have taken CAT (2016) conducted by the IIMs for the year specified in the advertisement (IIMS have no role in the Welingkar admission process) and /or/ XAT (2017) / and / or ATMA (2016-2017) and / or CMAT (2017) and / or MH-CET (2017) and / or GMAT (2014 onwards).
Any Graduate from university recognized by AIU with minimum of 50% marks at their graduation level Preference will be given to individuals with a healthcare background including MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / B.PT (Physiotherapy) / B.OT (Occupational Therapy) / B.E (Biomedical Engineering) / B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc. Nursing / BSc – Life Sciences / MSc.
For all others courses
A minimum 50% in graduation, which must be completed by June 2017.
Welingkar MBA Selection Stage I involves allotment of marks on the basis of written test (out of 100), psychometric test, past academic performance, and work experience.

Only those students who are shortlisted on the basis of marks given in stage I, are called for Group Discussion, Personal Interview. Stage II for Welingkar MBA comprises of the following parameters.

The final selection of the students is based on the overall performance on 480 marks.
Students will be offered admission to a program basis of their preference AND their suitability / fit with a program identified on the basis of their performance in the entire process.

Last year the Welingkar MBA Fees for all the courses is Rs. 4,30,000. Please note that this Welingkar PGDM Fees is only Tuition Fee.

Welingkar MBA Cut Off
Candidates who seek admission in MBA in Welingkar, often enquire about cut offs. Aspirants are requested to note that the total score of 220 in Stage I will then be used to shortlist students for Stage II of the selection process. Therefore all applicants will not be called for Stage II. Students should note that being called for Stage II is dependant on 4 parameters as mentioned above and not only on the Written Test Score.
Hence a specific percentile CAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA / MHCET cut-off for being invited to Stage II does not apply.
- For Welingkar MBA / PGDM, on the basis of the percentile obtained in the said exams, the institute will assign a score out of 100 using a statistical normalization process.
- In case, the student has given multiple test percentiles, the highest will be considered.
