Steps for registration and choice filling
- Register using JEE roll number and password
As the first step, candidates must visit the official website. Here they can locate link to register. Or, they can directly click link given above (which will be available when CSAB announces counselling 2018 details.
- Change password
Initially candidates use JEE 2018 password. But later they need to change it for security purposes. A strong password should be used.
- Check details
All details of candidates are fetched from CBSE JEE Main 2018 database once candidate registers with JEE 2018 roll number and password. Candidates can log in and check that these details are correct.
- Change address or other details
Candidates can edit communication details so that CSAB can correspond at those communication points.
- Enter choices/preference order
Candidates can see various options of colleges and branches. Among the colleges there are 30 NITs, 5 IIITs, CFTIs. Among the branches are all the branches of engineering which these colleges offer. One has to enter preference order of college and seats. It depends completely upon choice of candidates. It is advisable to fill several options.
- Choice locking
Candidates can lock choices any time after they fill preference order, and before last date.
How to select choices in CSAB 2018 counselling?
Candidates need to login to select choices. Then they click choice filling and locking. All academic programs being offered through CSAB 2018 counselling appear in form of a list. Candidates can click academic programs they are interested in and they automatically appear under filled choices section.
One should fill as many choices as possible to increase chances of getting a seat.
How to change order of preference?
Click arrange filled choices, or choice rearrange option. This opens option of moving choices up or down the list. In order to change order, there are arrows or preference numbers against filled choices. There is also an option to interchange two choices.
Make sure to save choices after changing them.
