NLSIU Distance Education Admission 2020 General Instructions
- Demand Draft is to be drawn in favor of NLSIU DED Courses, payable at Bengaluru.
- No incomplete application form or submission after the last date are accepted.
- After the admission procedure no candidates are allowed to withdraw application form
- Changing of course will not be acceptable once the admission procedure is done
- The title of the course opted for should be clearly marked on the envelope
- After enrollment, you will be provided with an ID number which shall be quoted in all your future contact or necessary with the University.
- Candidates enrolled for 2 courses simultaneously are advised to choose any one of them in one examination and the other course in the next in case of overlapping in the Examination Contact classes will be held in NLSIU Bengaluru.
- W.R.T to Foreign Degrees, candidates are required to produce equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities.
- Annual or Supplementary Exams will be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune centers
About NLSIU Distance Education Admission 2020
The National Law School of India University, oldest of the ‘law Schools’, well known for its role in ‘redefining’ the legal education in India; and sponsored by the Bar Council of India, the Professional Regulatory Body for Law is furthering its mandate of attempting ‘Social change’ by imparting legal education through Distance Education Programmes also. These Distance Education Programmes are designed to empower the interested candidates in expanding & deepening their legal Knowledge in a globalized world. Interestingly these programmes do not have any age barrier.

Q. Do you have any study centre or centres outside Bangalore ?
Ans. No. We have no centres outside Bangalore.
Q. Do you have examination centres outside Bangalore ?
Ans. Apart from National Law School of India University, Bangalore we do have examination centre at Delhi and Pune.
Q. What is the duration of the exam ?
Ans. It is for 5 days total. 5 theory papers on 5 days, at the rate of 1 paper per day each carrying 100 marks(3 hrs duration).
Q. Can we practice in Law Courts by doing MBL ?
Ans. No. Bar Council of India, New Delhi has prescribed LL.B. degree and that too by regular course from a Law College, recognised by the Bar Council of India (to impart legal education).
Q. Is MBL equivalent to LL.B. ?
Ans. No, Degreewise it is not but content wise it is more than LL.B., minus the Court practicals.
Q. Is MBL equivalent to LL.M. ?
Ans. No, Degreewise it is not but content wise it is more than LL.M. LL.M. has a narrow specialisation when compared with MBL. All Laws required to be known by a business law consultant / Advisor / Officer, are included in the curriculum. The course is theoretical as well as practical oriented.
Q. Is it necessary that all papers be taken at a time ?
Ans. No, A Candidate has the option of writing all or some of the papers at the annual examination or all of the papers at the supplementary examination
