NSIT M.Tech. Admission 2020
University takes admission using (a) GATE Score (b) NSUT Written Examination. For Full time (Two years duration / Four Semesters) candidates valid GATE score is mandatory. A limited number of scholarships are available to candidates admitted against valid GATE score. Part Time/weekend program (Three years duration / Six Semesters) candidates are required to appear in the written examination of NSUT.

Admission Process for NSIT M.Tech Admission 2020
The University takes admissions under Full Time M. Tech. Program of two years duration, Part time M. Tech. Program of three years duration and weekend M. Tech. programs of three years duration. The selection of the Full-Time General / SC/ ST/ OBC / PH categories students for M.Tech. program shall be made on the basis of merit of valid GATE Score. In case, seat remains vacant in this category then candidate on merit basis, having appeared in Written Examination of NSUT may be admitted for this seat. The candidate admitted against this seat will not get any stipend or scholarship.
For part Time / Weekend M. Tech. programs merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination conducted by NSUT from amongst the candidates registered online for the admission. For these categories, Merit list will be prepared purely on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination of NSUT
Part Time / weekend educational activities are meant only for working professionals or professionals with at least two years of work experience. Full Time sponsored candidates have to apply using a valid GATE scores only. The will be considered as per the merit of GATE score with other candidates.

NSIT M.Tech. Admission 2020 Documents Requirement
At the Time of document verification
- Printout of application form duly signed by the candidate along with a passport size photograph.
- Original receipt of application fee of Rs. 1000/- paid by the candidate and its photocopy.
- Identity Proof(Passport/Aadhar card/Driving licence/Voter ID/ PAN card).
- Original and self attested copy of GATE Score (if applicable).
- Original and self attested copy of both Mark sheet and Degree of qualifying examination.
- Original and self attested copy of class 10th certificate/ Mark-sheet in support of Date of Birth.
- Proof of CGPA/FGPA conversion to Percentage (if applicable).
- Original and self attested copy of Caste/ Category certificate (for the reserved categories only) issued by one of the following authorities of competent jurisdiction:
- District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Collector/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Commissioner City Magistrate (not below the rank of 1st class stipendiary Magistrate)/ Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant.
- Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
- Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
- Administrator/ Secretary to Administration/ Development Officer. (Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands).
- For Fulltime Sponsored Candidate: Certificates at Annexure II and III (Original and Photocopy).
- For Part time Candidate: Certificates at Annexure III and IV(Original and Photocopy)
- For Physically Challenged (PH) Candidates: A candidate seeking admission under the Physically challenged (PH) category is required to bring original and photo copy of the certificate of Physical Disability issued by Chief Medical Officer of a district/ civil surgeon or any Government Hospital authorized to issue such certificates under the provisions of PWD Act 1995.

NSIT M.Tech. Admission 2020 Fee Structure
Fee for Indian Students
Candidates selected will be required to deposit the annual fee and other charges as per the admission schedule or as intimated by the University. The amount of fee payable by him /her is Rs.1,05,000/*- Rupees Ninety Five Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy only/- (For Full Time students) and Rs. 94,120/*- Rupees Ninety Four Thousand One Hundred Twenty only/- (For Part-Time / weekend Students) The fee is likely to be revised. Fee Concession (if any) for Physically Challenged candidates will be applicable as per the guidelines issued by the competent authority
Fee for Foreign Students
Foreign Students can directly apply to NSUT for M.Tech. admission. Candidates selected will be required to deposit the annual fee and other charges as per the admission schedule or as intimated by the University. The amount of fee payable by him/her is US$ 6990/*-(at the time of admission), US$400 Registration fee and US $100, Special fee per year (likely to be revised). All such candidates must have NOC from MHRD.
The annual fee has to be paid online or through E-Challan at SBI as per the details provided by the institute. No other mode of payment will be accepted. Fee should be paid in full and no part payment will be allowed.
Fee for Thesis Submission
All M.Tech. students have to deposit thesis submission fee at the time of thesis submission as per rules of the University. It will be in addition to other charges/ examination fees deposited by the candidates during III semester (Full-Time) & V semester (Part-Time/Weekend) registration
Withdrawal, Drop-Out and Refund
A student, after admission, will be allowed to withdraw his/her admission only up to 10 days of admission. If a student withdraws after 10 days of admission, he/she will be considered a drop-out. The refund of fee under this Para will be as follows:
Withdrawal within 07 days of date of admission of the candidate | Fees shall be refunded after deducting Rs. 1000/- only. |
Withdrawal Beyond 07 days & upto 10 days from the date of admission of the candidate | Only 50% of fees amount shall be refunded. |
After 10 days of date of admission / Dropouts | Nothing will be refunded. |
Irrespective of the date of admission, the refund will be made only after the closing of M.Tech. admissions. The application for withdrawal is to be submitted by the student himself/herself in the prescribed Performa (Annexure-VI) in the PG section, Room No. 14 Administrative block of NSIT, alongwith a copy of the Fee Receipt and Admission slip.
